Color Club Fall!

Today's manicure is yet ANOTHER fall design. As of right now I'm on a french tip kick. A small part of me wants to have the "model" nail shape that almost everyone has and loves. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about the perfect role model for these shapely nails is Mixed Mama. To me she has the PERFECT nail shape. Though I know we are a community of all shapes, sizes, and lengths. Let me just tell you how scared I am, that once a full coat of colored polish goes on my nails I'm going to hate it and go back down to short nails. One more thing before we move on I'm going to try and start doing picture by picture video tutorials because I know reading can be tedious and most of us busy bodies out there barely have time to paint our nails. ANYWAY! on to the manicure.

For the look today I used

  • Put A Pin In It - Color Club
  • Cuckoo For This Color - OPI
  • White On White - China Glaze
  • Seche Vite Top Coat
  • Seche Clear Base Coat
  • and of course MASH rhinestone wheel in black!
Below are the two main colors featured

ON TO THE STEPS!!!

Step 1:
Apply a thin coat of Seche Clear. This prevents staining and also helps the polish last a little longer!

Step 2:
Now on to the french tip! You can do this one of two ways. You can use tip guides found on Ebay (this is the method I used) or you can use a brush and pure acetone. I'll post a video at the end of the post showing you how to use the second method! Apply the stickers to all your nails first! I cannot stress this enough! If you do it one by one you will constantly have to repaint another nail! Once you are done with the stickers go ahead and ONE BY ONE! paint the tip of your nails, quickly removing the stickers off of your nail to be sure you don't take off the polish you just painted!

Step 3:
For the Cuckoo For This Color double line I used a nail art brush also found on Ebay for really cheap to carefully go along the smile of my nails! (YAY for happy nails)

Step 4:
Using dotting tools once again found on Ebay using the smallest dotting tool I have (toothpicks or bobby pins work too!) I applied a single dot of White On White. Then taking the other end of my dotting tool I swept from the middle towards where I wanted the center of my flower to be. I repeated this step 4 more times, making it 5 total petals!

Step 5 & 6:
I applied my MASH rhinestones in black to the center of my flower. Following this entire look up with a single application of Seche Vite!

It's a lot easier then it looks I promise!
